When designing for this collection, we dove deep into the allure and nostalgia that makes Barbie so special while also leaning into the cultural relevancy that makes us NYX. Every detail was crafted with purpose to so that each item felt like an accessory or a prop that had just been taken straight out of Barbieland (or the movie set).
From the deco to the shiny finishes to the smooth plastic materials chosen, we really wanted to embrace the “life in plastic” aesthetic that’s so synonymous with Barbie. Each product feels like an ultra-collectible piece of your childhood reimagined for today—striking a balance between Barbie’s enduring legacy and connecting with today’s audience.
